Cherishing Motherhood - Brunch & Minis
I poured my heart into this one. I wanted to create an experience. An experience to help you pause - to take a minute to realize how lucky you are to be a mother. I wanted to build you up and help you to see how beautiful you are, and how beautiful motherhood is.
I wanted to celebrate YOU. And give you something to cherish as you look back on this time with fondness.
I put this moodboard together with a mix of inspiration from Pinterest and instagram from creators who I so look up to. Photographers who help their photographs EMOTE. So that when you look at their photos you know just how it felt to be in that moment.
I wasn’t prepared for the emotions preparing this brunch would bring - pouring your heart into anything can do that, I guess. Each night I laid in bed imagining and dreaming of what I wanted this day to become. During the day I shopped…and returned A LOT!! Haha! During the day I watched as my kids struggled. They wanted ME, they came to their mother. I watched as they rejoiced and played in the mud and read books. Tears came to my eyes that Heavenly Father sent these two to ME, He sent them to their mother.
I am so grateful to be a mom.
There is nothing like it. Feeling this love for my children brings me so much closer to my Savior and to my Heavenly Parents.
So I basically, I was crying off and on for a week in preparation for this beautiful day.
Then you came.
You came and you hugged YOUR babies. You snuggled them when they needed YOU, their mother! You tickled them and laughed with them, and their eyes *sparkled* as they played with YOU - their mother. You snuggled your belly in anticipation of their arrival to make YOU their mother.
I cried as the day ended. I felt so full. So completely exhausted, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Then I cried as I went through your photos and found the most beautiful moments.
THANK YOU.
Thank you for being YOU. Thank you for being their mother. Thank you for teaching me what Christ-like love is, and allowing me to help you to keep these memories.
