FINALLY MARRIED

Oh my goodness, I was so happy to shoot this wedding!! Everybody was so excited that Lauren and Ted were finally getting married! It had been a long time coming... 9 years coming!

Lauren and Ted met when they were sophomores in high school they soon became a part of each other's families, integral parts of each other's lives. Their love lasted through college, and it's now taking on an even more special meaning.

While Lauren and Ted got dressed for their ceremony, their family and friends gathered at St. Xavier Francis College Church downtown St. Louis. They took a moment to meet just the two of them before the wedding. We got our zoom lenses out and spied...shhhh don’t tell. You could tell they were so happy, and excited to finally become a family. This was THEIR DAY.

The procession began as family and the wedding party came down the isle of the most stunning cathedral. There was such a reverent and special spirit there, knowing that these two were about to commit their lives together with God’s blessing, and the support of so many loved ones. Then Lauren came down the aisle, ready to say I do. The prayers, the songs, the communion, all of it tied together to create a wonderful and special ceremony. It ended with them being announced as husband and wife! Another walked down the ise, and they were greeted with so many loves and hugs, because it was REAL.

I loved that they took time to take family photos in the church, but to also get out and go to a part that was special to them. We took wedding party photos and formal couple photos at Tower Grove Park. The love kept on coming. (even when bugs flew up Lauren’s dress, and one of her bridesmaids cut her ankle.

They carried the love and joy to the most beautiful reception hall, complete with the coolest wood chandeliers. There the speeches left everyone speechless, not a dry eye in the room. EVERYONE was thrilled for these two to be married. They talked and laughed and danced. Leaving nothing behind. Starting everything together.
