Francis Family at Crystal Cove
I can’t tell you how much I love this season of my life! I asked Jackie to take our family photos to commemorate this season of life while I had both of my babies at home with me, 24/7.
Luke just started preschool and he is loving it, but I was so anxious about this transition. Mostly because I’ve been with him every day of his life for four years, so to send him off to play with somebody else made me a little teary-eyed. The time that I have had with my two babies at home has been so special to me.
I love to be a mom. It is the greatest calling from my Heavenly Father. No matter what I focus on, work on, try to accomplish, I always find myself coming back to the joys of motherhood! When things seem out of whack, I pause and take time with my kids. We bake a treat. We go to the park. We swim in the pool. Having two children that rely on me not only for joy, but for their very lives, teaches me so much of the relationship that I can have with my Father in Heaven and my Savior, Jesus Christ.
And the opportunity I have to raise these children with my best friend, the love of my life, and best man I know, is nothing short of a miracle.
With that background, these pictures means so much to me. I loved being able to create a memory of running around the beach, dipping our fingers in the water, and getting sandier than anyone should ever be at a family photo shoot. LOL. But it was just the way I wanted it. Until I splashed my family with too much water ha ha sorry…
I hope you enjoy the love of my family, the joy of childhood, and the beautiful view of Crystal Cove State Beach.
PS… My mom just told me that the dress Macy is wearing is ONE OF MY OLD DRESSES from when I was little! I just got it in a handful of hand-me-downs from my sister and had no idea - SO MUCH MORE SPECIAL!
