Matthew & Emily’s Orange County Beach Engagements

You know what makes a vacation to the west coast even better (I mean, besides family, fun, and sun)? Photoshoots at the beach! What better way is there to soak up some love than to snap some engagement pictures on the sand?! Besides getting to have a blast with some shoots, I’m ecstatic to have made a few new friends. 

I got to meet Emily and Matthew for the first time at Crystal Cove in Newport Beach for their engagement photos and hear a bit about their love story. The two met early last December on a temple trip they took with their church. Emily was adamant she didn’t want to date anyone, but of course, love had different plans. And apparently so did Matthew.

Just 4 days after they met, Matthew convinced her to go out on their first date to Dana Point Harbor to see the Christmas lights. He says he knew from the first week that she was “the one” and he wasn’t about to let her get away! She says he melted her heart with his patience, love, and energy for life. 

Now a half a year later, these two are engaged and soooooo in love. Emily and Matthew are in the depths of wedding planning around COVID-19 like so many of our other L E F couples. 

Emily warned me she was scared as could be of smiling for the camera and acting natural. But you guys, check out these photos! Bare feet, salty air, and a gorgeous sunset created the perfect background for capturing the tenderness and love that exists between this L E F couple!
